Pokemon World of Warcraft - What is Item Upgrade?
The item upgrade system allows players to increase the stats of trinkets, armors and weapons. It also provides unique effects and procs.
Most upgrades increment stats linearly, for example a level 20 Muscle Band will give you +1 attack and +.5% attack speed. The system also has the potential to fail, and this consumes all upgrade materials.
Glyphs

Glyphs are a type of upgrade component that can be used in gathering tools to provide bonus effects or improvements. They can be purchased on the market or dropped by dungeons or Helltides. Each glyph has a specific radius, and players can place them to boost nodes within that. Certain Glyphs offer additional rewards, in addition to increasing the number of nodes. These rewards may include additional units, XP or resources.
Players must carefully consider the various options before deciding on a symbol. For instance, the glyph of Nilrend has a decent probability of removing the order marker on an opponent's army card. This gives the player a slight advantage in the initial game. However, click through the following page of this glyph fades progressively as more units are added onto the board, and the odds of having a unit eliminated decreases.
Other glyphs have a more direct impact on the map control. For example the glyph Valda increases the range of all ranged units by 1, which is a substantial increase for units that have low movement rates (such as the Marro Stinger line or 4th Massachusetts). In addition to these units, this glyph also works well with melee units that may struggle to get into position to deal damage.
Some glyphs, like the Discretionary Ligatures glyph, are created to improve the visual appearance of fonts. They also feature additional characters beyond the standard set. This is done to make fonts appear more realistic, or to add extra embellishments.
The Glyphs Panel menu allows users to create an individual Glyph set by selecting the glyphs they would like to add to it. After adding a custom Glyph Set players can examine it by selecting View Glyph Set in the Glyphs Panel menu and selecting the name of that glyph Set.
